Out-of-Network Insurance Accepted

For those who may choose to self-pay, and those who have insurance, not accepted at ORA Therapeutic Services, you should check with your insurance to see if you have an out-of-network insurance benefit to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. ORA Therapeutic Services will provide you with the documentation to do so.

No Surprise Act (NSA) is new legislation to protect consumers against surprise medical billing.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost.  This is prescribed by the federal law enacted 1/1/22 called The No Surprises Act, Title 45, section 149.610.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during treatment.  If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.  Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
